Ultracargo has once again been awarded the Ocean-Friendly Terminal Seal, an important certification granted by the Port of Suape (PE). The recognition, presented during the 4th edition of the award ceremony, acknowledges sustainable practices for preserving the marine environment in the port region. The event was attended by company representatives Bruno Henrique Xavier Maia, Occupational Safety Technician, and Klebert Higgor Lima Coelho, SSMA Coordinator.
This certification reinforces Ultracargo’s commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly the 14th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), Life Below Water, which seeks to promote the sustainable use of marine resources. The Ocean-Friendly Terminal Seal, created within the framework of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030), evaluates 27 environmental management criteria, including licensing, efficient use of water and energy, and initiatives to combat marine waste disposal.
For Fernanda Guedes, People Manager, Communication, and Sustainability Manager, the achievement symbolizes Ultracargo’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, reaffirming the company’s central role in building a responsible logistics sector aligned with global demands. “This recognition also reflects the engagement of all employees and the alignment of our operations with best environmental practices.”
