Last Friday (19th), Ultracargo secured the first place in the Itaqui Port Award, in the category of “Innovative Company” for the implementation of the Operational Training Program, which in 2023 had an affirmative edition for women in operational areas in Itaqui (MA), Suape (PE), and Santos (SP). The submission for the award was made by the People, Sustainability, and Operational Excellence teams.

Launched by the State government, through the Maranhense Port Administration Company (EMAP), with the support of the Maranhão Foundation for Research and Technological Development (FAPEMA), the award aims to encourage works focused on innovation in the port, maritime, and logistics sectors, recognizing and rewarding researchers, inventors, students, and professionals working in Maranhão.

This program is the result of the commitment of all company employees to the communities neighboring our operations and is aligned with our social responsibility strategy. Moreover, it contributes to the professionalization and employability of the participants, for the economic growth of the region and for the increase of female presence in operational activities, promoting diversity and inclusion.
