Ultracargo, provider of integrated logistics solutions and the largest independent liquid bulk storage company in Brazil, is open for registration for the Operational Training Course in Palmeirante (TO). A total of 30 vacancies are available, with half of them reserved for female applicants.

The objective of the course, which is free and lasts two months, is to promote professional qualification and prepare professionals from local communities for future job vacancies, both at Ultracargo as well as for other regional companies.

The course will begin on August 5, with completion scheduled for October 1, 2024. Classes will take place from Monday to Friday, from 6:30 pm to 10 pm and the performance mode (online or in person) will be announced in the following stages.

To participate you must be over 18 years old, live in Palmeirante or Colinas de Tocantins, having finished the entire middle school, being a plus for those with technical level and experience in loading and unloading experience. Registration will be open until June 29. To apply, just send your resume to the e-mail projeto.palmeirante@atrativarh.com.br.

Three other editions of the course have already been held in states where Ultracargo operates port terminals: Bahia (Aratu), Pará (Vila do Conde), Maranhão (Itaqui), Pernambuco (Suape), and São Paulo (Santos). The training strengthens the company’s commitment to the development of the communities surrounding its operations. The focus on affirmative vacancies has helped to increase the percentage of women in a role typically occupied by men.

“Building a terminal in a region as strategic as Palmeirante, while at the same time starting a training course with 50% of affirmative vacancies for women, shows how relevant Ultracargo considers diversity for its business”, says Patrícia Gomes, Director of HR, Communication and Sustainability at Ultracargo. She also points out that the training brings positive reflections on the employability of women, who have already shown in previous courses a synergy with important company values, such as safety and efficiency.

The construction of the Palmeirante Terminal by the company started in January 2024 and will handle fuels and biofuels for the interiors of the states of Maranhão, Tocantins, Pará and Mato Grosso.
