In early June 2024, Ultracargo took part in an international mission organized by the Brazilian Port Terminal Association (Associação Brasileira dos Terminais Portuários – ABTP) in Houston, in the US. The event, held from June 2nd to 7th, was attended by Décio Amaral, the company’s CEO, and the executive VP, Helano Pereira.
During the meeting, they were acquainted with the operations of the Texas port, considered a reference in terms of the quality of its infrastructure, rail integration, services, and renewable energy initiatives. The mission, made up by more than 60 members, including businessmen, lawyers and authorities, was able to exchange experiences and knowledge relevant to the sector.
The visit to Houston also highlighted the relevance of technological innovations and sustainable practices for the future of logistic initiatives and fostered the inspiration for improvements that could be applied in Brazil, aiming to optimize processes and increase national competitiveness on the global stage.
For Helano Pereira, the executive VP, the opportunity strengthened Ultracargo´s active presence in relevant meetings for development of the national logistics sector. “Our presence on a mission of this size allows us not only to absorb best practices, but also to establish strategic partnerships that will contribute to strengthening Brazilian logistics”, he emphasizes.
“This experience has further strengthened our commitment to bring innovative solutions that drive the sector forward and boost our leading position in the segment. The lessons learned during the mission are essential to improve our service portfolio and contribute to the advancement of the Brazilian infrastructure and logistics,” concludes the CEO Décio Amaral.
