From Santos (SP) to Vila do Conde (PA), all Ultracargo terminals and the administrative headquarters, spread across four regions of the country, simultaneously participated in the first edition of the event “Security: The Stop that Connects”. The initiative, held on May 15, marked the suspension of operations for one hour in all company’s units, with the purpose to reinforce the coworker commitment to safety and care for each other – a core value of the company’s corporate culture.
During the event, coworkers participated in several activities focused on raising awareness on the theme and on operational excellence. The program included presentations by the leadership on the “Rules that Save Lives”, thematic quiz, signing of a commitment panel, a live presentation on “Risk Management by Layers” aimed at leaders, and planned inspections in operational areas. These actions are designed to highlight the crucial role of each person in preventing risks and promoting a safer work environment.
According to Patrícia Gomes, Director of HR, Communication and Sustainability, the initiative fulfilled its immediate purpose also setting a new milestone in the company’s history, which intends to turn this initiative into an annual practice. “We work to ensure that the theme will always remain part of our cultural connection to guide daily activities. Therefore, with the event, we promoted this theme not only as an operational principle, but also to fortify our organizational culture, ensuring that all coworkers understand and experience the relevance of this value in their daily lives.”
The action´s impact was significant, both internally and externally. The initiative generated an important level of engagement among the coworkers, with over 5 thousand views of internal content and 400 interactions, such as likes and comments. The promotion on LinkedIn reached more than 33 thousand views and an engagement rate of 21%, strengthening Ultracargo´s position as being a company committed to the safety and well-being of its coworkers.
