Reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and responsibility for the environment, Ultracargo performed in July, awareness and engagement actions in the Sustainability and Environment Week, with several activities aimed at coworker involvement. During this period, experts were invited to give lectures on topics such as waste management, reverse logistics, inclusion, diversity and female leadership in the labor market. These discussions highlighted the importance of incorporating sustainable practices into both personal life and the corporate environment, aligning with the company’s values.
In addition to the lectures, the company promoted an internal contest aimed at the children and dependents of its coworkers, encouraging them to express, through art, how each one can contribute to the preservation of the environment. This initiative sought to engage families and promote awareness on the topic from childhood, reinforcing the importance of creativity and education in the development of a culture of sustainability.
Another highlight among the initiatives offered was the voluntary action organized by coworkers, who gathered to clean beaches in the regions where the company operates. This practical activity demonstrated how small actions can generate a significant impact on environmental preservation, reinforcing the role of everyone in building a more sustainable future.
To supplement the Environment Week initiatives, Ultracargo distributed an almanac of the Monica Gang (Turma da Mônica) , which approaches the 17 Sustainability Development Goals of the UN. This educational material was conceived to further spread the relevance of these goals and to inspire concrete actions in favor of a more balanced and responsible world, strengthening the company’s commitment to promoting practices that are beneficial to society and to the maintenance of the environmental balance.
